This elegantly simple to use, web-based application now lets you
convert bigger files with faster speed and a personal inbox.

 

If you've been using the free Zamzar online service for converting files, you already know how simple it is to use, and appreciate the fact that you don't have to download software or twist yourself into a pretzel to figure out how to use it.  You don't even need to register. Right from the homepage, you simply select the file on your computer that you want to convert, select the format you want to convert it to (the list of formats has expanded considerably in the past year), and provide your email address.  A few minutes later and viola! - you get an email with a link to download your converted file.  The only catch is that you have to download it within 24 hours, or it's lost and you have to start over.  But now, Zamzar offers a number of paid plans (starting at $7 per month) which give you maximum file sizes from 200GB to 1GB (the free account gives you 100GB) plus online storage of your converted documents.  Just look at all the conversion types.  The days of getting stymied by weird files you (or the person you're sending to) can't open are over.
