Inside this issue...Inside this issue... Change Is HereHi <<First Name>>,
When did you first vote for a President of the United States? I remember when I turned 18 and voted for the first time. It felt like an incredible privilege and responsibility. I actually had a say in who would lead our country! This year we had an historic Presidential election. For the first time, Americans voted in an African-American President. We also had a woman on the ballot as a vice-presidential candidate for only the second time in our history.
The history of the 43 men who have been President is a wide range of beliefs, ideologies, and experience. Under their direction, we fought internal and external wars, experienced great prosperity and deep poverty, and explored the vast reaches of outer space. Their lives are a fascinating study in character and leadership.
On January 20, 2009, our new President will be sworn in and we will have a new leader. We may not all agree with his policies and decisions, but we can agree in prayer to support him and our great nation.
God bless America,

Industry Interview Author/Filmmaker Discusses "Sarah Barracuda" by Angela Walker Mark Joseph (seen here interviewing Larry King) hosted a television show for CNN, produced the soundtrack for The Passion of the Christ, developed and marketed film properties such as The Chronicles of Narnia, and most recently wrote a book, “Sarah Barracuda: The Rise of Sarah Palin.” You recently wrote a book about vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Rumor has it you wrote that in two weeks?
Mark: From the day I started writing to the day it was released, it was a 30-day process. I had been watching her speeches and I was a little surprised by her debut at the Republican National Convention.
I thought [Palin’s speech] was kind of a watershed moment. This is a person that is going to be around, win or lose. Study Ties Teen Pregnancy Rates to TV Tastesby Lindsey Tanner - AP Groundbreaking research suggests that pregnancy rates are much higher among teens who watch a lot of TV with sexual dialogue and behavior than among those who have tamer viewing tastes.
"Sex and the City," anyone? That was one of the shows used in the research.
The new study is the first to link those viewing habits with teen pregnancy, said lead author Anita Chandra, a Rand Corp. behavioral scientist. Teens who watched the raciest shows were twice as likely to become pregnant over the next three years as those who watched few such programs. Political Thriller "Dark Horse" Strikingly Similar to 2008 Campaign by Angela Walker Writing experts say to write what you know. Political strategist Ralph Reed has done just that with his first novel titled Dark Horse. Involved in seven presidential campaigns and special adviser to President George W. Bush during his 2000 and 2004 campaigns, Reed is a Washington insider with encyclopedic knowledge of the political process. His first novel is an entertaining and page-turning political thriller whose scenes could have been taken from this year's Presidential campaign. With plenty of humor, lots of intrigue, and characters resminiscent of those at the top of every news broadcast these days, it's hard to put down once you start reading. "Pretty good movie; deals with some modern issues. Not as good as Flywheel, Facing the Giants, or Fireproof. David A.R. White did a good job, however; also Jon Schneider (sp?). The pregnant lady is nauseatingly legalistic, but she does it very well. Other reviewer says to buy it elsewhere; I encourage you to buy it from Christiancinema.com. Their service is excellent!"
