All Is Forgiven

Hi <<First Name>>,

On September 11, 2001, airplanes crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. Hundreds of people had only moments to respond. Many of them used their final moments to call their family.

The entire nation listened as bereaved families shared their loved ones’ last words. It was striking how many spoke of love, comfort and hope for their family’s future.

What would you say if you knew you had moments to live? Would you speak love to someone? Express words of regret and loss? Extend forgiveness and reconciliation? Words are powerful, especially when spoken in moments of crisis and impending death.

Chrisian author Angela Hunt’s book The Note was published that same year and in an eerie coincidence begins with a plane crash and a note from one of the victims. “T – I love you. All is forgiven. Dad” But who needs forgiveness, and will they receive it?

Watching this compelling story will make us think about our response to grace and forgiveness. Order your copy now and make sure you have some stationery ready. You might find yourself wanting to write your own note.

From the screening room,

Industry Interview
Christians in Cinema: Angela Hunt
by Angela Walker

Angela Hunt has been writing for almost 20 years. Winner of multiple awards for her writing, she has sold more than three million copies of her books. After debuting as the Hallmark Channel's #1 original movie, The Note, based on one of her novels, is now available on DVD.

The Note  was published in 2001, and has some eerie similarities to that day's events.

Angela:  On September 11th, I was at a girlfriend’s house on where we had just finished writing a book together. I was supposed to fly home but they closed the airport, so we were sitting in her living room watching the World Trade Center crumble. I remember looking at her and saying, “I've written about those buildings. One of the characters in The Note had an office in one of the towers..”

How closely does the final version of the film match your book?

Angela:  I thought the film captured my intentions and my theme perfectly. The Note is about forgiveness, about how we respond to the message of grace and forgiveness that has been extended to all of us. My book went a little further in that I intended every father in the story to represent God.

Not everything in a novel can make it into a movie, but...

Conservatives and Liberals Face Off at the Box Office

by Angela Walker

Two films representing opposing viewpoints in Hollywood open today. "An American Carol," is made by writer/director David Zucker and stars conservative actors such as Jon Voight, Kelsey Grammar, and James Woods.

At the opposite end of the spectrum is a mockumentary from Bill Maher titled "Religulous." Focusing on the extreme elements of many world religions, the film tries to prove that religious belief and intelligence are mutually exclusive.

Dove Review:

One can only try to imagine what one might write if they only have a few minutes of life left. This endearing story leads Peyton on a journey of finding the intended person related to the writer of the note. While she is on this quest she not only finds out about different people but also learns some things about herself. This is another endearing Hallmark movie.

Filled with a message of love, soul searching and forgiveness, this film will entertain the family. I must note that there are some issues that may be disturbing to some people regarding the loss of a loved one. But this heartwarming story is awarded our Dove Seal and recommended for ages 12 and above.
