The South Davis Road Runners is a volunteer-driven adult running group made up of community members in the Davis County area. Without contributing members this group would not exist. Each member makes this group unique and has something to offer. Please do not hesitate to help as much or as little as you are able. If you are interested in helping in a particular areas please let me know. http://blonderunner.com/blog/sdrr-committee/ Many positions are still being filled.
We need your help We really could use your imput and help planning the summer social. Please come to the run early this Saturday (May 23rd) at 7:30 a.m. to give us your ideas and imput. It is going to be fun. If you would like to be involved, contact our membership coordinator Laurie Wirz at lswirz@msn.com. June group run time change Join us at 8 a.m. meeting at the north west end of the parking lot at the South Davis Recreation Center in Bountiful every Saturday for the month of May. In June we will be meeting at 7 a.m. instead of 8. Please don't hesitate to join us anytime and bring a friend. We would love to have you!
"Oldest running shirt contest" Wear your oldest running shirt contest is underway, so starting digging for the shirt you are going to wear. The shirt needs to be a race where running is involved and doesn't even have to be one you have competed in...you may want to talk to an "seasoned" runner and see if you can borrow a shirt. So start diggin' and see what you can come up with and wear it to the group run on Saturday June 13 (this is also our mingle day). There will be a prize for the winner (tech shirt, hat, hydration belt or something "cool" for summer training) to be awarded at the mingle. Mingle with us!

The long wait of winter was worth it and I pleased to tell you that the participates of Team Blonde Runner- Triathlon Women did great at the Women of Steel Triathlon this last weekend. Many of us are now preparing for the Salem and Bountiful Triathlons to take place on May 30th. So, cheer loudly for those wearing the bright blue Team Blonde Runner tanks! Go Team! It is always a thrill to see people competing for the first time and loving it! It looks like I am not the only crazy one that actually enjoys doing this stuff! It is also wonderful to see all the fun stuff going on among running group members on Facebook; all of the well wishes, "good luck", "happy birthday" and "how are you?", "how did you do?" comments are what makes this group so great. I would say the coolest people I know are runners and triathletes from this group. You know who you are - thanks so much!
