Children in Salvation Army Learning Center get surprise:


Students earned reward by turning in homework and improving by letter grades in school.

The GameTruck, (local franchise owned in Columbus) will be visiting the Innis Elementary School in North Linden today from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.  Students will be able to play video games in teams against each other. http://gametruckparty2.reachlocal.net/locations-columbus.html

 

Students know they earned a prize, but they won’t know what it is until this evening!

The Salvation Army’s After School Learning Centers have been highly successful in helping students improve their achievement in some of the city’s struggling public schools. 81 percent of students increase reading and math fluency within nine weeks of enrollment.
