This fall, we are thrilled to introduce our new line of mineral makeup, b.yoffi (“be beautiful” in Hebrew). We will offer makeup applications by appointment, which includes a consultation to discuss the desired look, whether it be very natural or “runway.” Our well-trained makeup artists will consult on colors and techniques as they apply your eye color, luscious lips and foundation for a glowing, young, flawless look with our pure, clean minerals.  These applications can be booked to coincide with hair color services to optimize time and explore cohesive hair & makeup looks.

Classic with a Twist... Maxime has added a twist to the old classic Bob. We call it the “Em” Bob. We recruited senior stylist Emily, master of the “Em” Bob, to describe this look for you.

With summer coming to a close and the weather cooling off, it is the perfect time for an update on your style. The bob is definitely making a comeback this season, but with a twist! The A-line shape is very “in” right now. This versatile cut can range from very dramatic with the length shorter in the back and a steep line connecting the longer length in the front, to a more sophisticated, classic look where the length in the front can be just slightly longer or the same as the length on the neck. The cut can be custom designed for each individual. The “Em” is all about drama. This is achieved through the use of graduated layers. Shorter layers add volume and drama, while longer layers maintain shape and allow the hair to fall seamlessly into place.


Ronit’s Corner... We had such a good summer and are excited about the beginning of fall, especially with the beautiful fall hair fashion we are seeing.  Current styles are very flirtatious and soft.  Colors are subtle with deep tones and light blonds.  Of course, fashion cannot be without hair.  Last week, Gina, Helen and I attended a party that was hosted by fb, fashion boston, a new Boston Globe publication.  It was in a South Boston warehouse and was the kick-off party for Boston’s Fashion Week.  Great young designers presented their fashions. Boston fashion is bigger and better with lots of black dresses, long tunics over jeans and, yes, skinny or wide leg is still on the runway. Lots of metallic black, gold, silver and green with lots of shine …… and big statements in red.   Hair was wild and edgy, very sexy.  Boston chefs served the guests some of their favorite tasting dishes.  We all loved Prezza, especially their homemade ravioli with stuffed cauliflower, and the new restaurant, Rocca (on Harrison Ave). They had an unbelievable chocolate cream cake for desert.  The dj was fun and we saw lots of beautiful people wearing great fashion.  The best part was viewing our exciting design scene and what’s being turned out locally, including one of my favorites... designs by Daniela Corte.
