Dear Friends, Family and Supporters of the Film Spring, and to a degree Summer, has arrived quickly here in New York. This has prompted us to block out the light from our studio windows to allow editing to continue in earnest on the 3rd cut of the film and our new trailer. Photos of our editing studio can be seen here. Interviews We pulled friend, author and architect, Peter Lippman in for another interview that will provide some final footage for the new trailer. In addition to this interview, we have scheduled a handful of others with architectural authors and historians including, Bill Menking of Architect's Newspaper and Susan Szenasy of Metropolis Magazine.
Archiculture Commercials In another effort to further promote and engage the film project with the art & design community we are preparing to shoot a few commercial type short videos. The first one... Operation of a Model is scheduled to shoot in June and will be released online shortly after. New Music We have ramped up our search for new music this past month as the deadline for the new trailer approaches. We have started to receive a lot of really great music from extremely talented international musicians. Please continue telling your musician friends to submit their work.

New Trailer Release We have held a few event planning meetings for the New York Trailer Debut and are starting to discuss the San Francisco Debut. We will keep you all posted as soon as we lock the venues and dates. The Trailer Events will be more of a party with open bar, bands, photography, installations, and a bunch of other goodies to excite our filmmaking and designer following. Blog Explosion We have picked up our frequency and variety of posts to the directors blog. This has significantly increased our viewership and is starting to help diversify those following the project. If you haven’t checked it out lately, please do. You’ll find images of Proton Beam Colliders, video of a Rock Balancer in SF, some amazing Maps, Bathroom Wall Graffiti, Colorful Parking Lots, Swimming in the Future, a brief Architectural History by Michael Kubo, Highline Sections, 8 Mega Infrastructure Projects in NYC, a friend's acclaimed book release, and an article by new team member, David Kuykendall, about surviving as a recent architecture grad in NYC titled Pondering Purpose in "La Crisis". Forward and Join Us Forward this newsletter around your office or to your friends to help continue spreading word of the film. For further updates throughout post-production follow us on Twitter, our RSS Feed, or join us on Facebook or Myspace. Thank you all for your continued interest in the project. We look to each of you for energy and support in this endeavor. Until next time, Ian Harris, David Krantz and the entire Archiculture Team |
