Membership and Map - Things are winding down...but its not to late! We are in the final stages of the Freeport Map and Visitor Guide layout. This valuable publication is an important part of your membership in FMA. The FMA Map is one of the two largest tourism publications in the state of Maine, second only to the Official Maine State Highway Map. The FMA map and FMA's www.FreeportUSA.com website are how virtually everyone finds out where to shop, play, dine and stay when they come to visit Freeport. Don't miss the opportunity for them to find you! If you haven't already done so, make sure you have your membership and map materials in order and at the FMA office by Friday (March 13). Call Myra if you have questions - 207-865-1212 or mhopkins@freeportusa.com
Freeport First... The Freeport First program for 2009 is off and running! The second Freeport First Event, “Get Bubbly,” held at Azure Café was enjoyed by all of the Freeport employees who attended. Owner Jonas Werner and Executive Chef Christopher Bassett provided guests with a taste of Italy – delectable hors d’oeuvres accompanied by a glass of bubbly Italian Prosecco. Our next Freeport First event will be held at the Cabaret Bistro on March 20 from 5 pm- 7 pm. Plan to join us for an evening of great food and atmosphere. RSVP to info@thefreeportcabaret.com. This initiative gives all participating Freeport business owners, managers and employees an opportunity to enjoy the Freeport experience. This familiarization and orientation of Freeport will include overnight accommodations, dining, tours of the area and participation in Freeport activities like the Desert of Maine, ODS walk on, a tasting and tour at Wilburs or Cold River Vodka, and even a harbor cruise as the weather permits! Please consider how you can participate in this opportunity to keep Freeport top of mind throughout the year. This is an opportunity to have some fun, learn something new, and shoe your buisness of to fellow FMA members and staff! Plan something now so we can tell everyone in the April Newsletter. To participate or get more info, please contact Myra at mhopkins@freeportusa.com or call the office 865-1212.
