The Freeport Merchants Association has long been a strong and vocal supporter of passenger rail service beyond Portland to Yarmouth, Freeport, Brunswick and beyond. We work with NNEPRA, Train Riders Northeast, Greater Portland Council of Governments, Maine Eastern Railroad, and any others that can advance the cause in some manner. This service is vitally important to Freeport and our members.

A public hearing is being held this Thursday, March 27th at 1:00pm at the Transportation Committee Room in Augusta. The following documents will provide you additional information:
