Alumni Award Winners

UGA wins Sterne Agee investment challenge
By wringing a profit out of a bear market, a team of full-time MBA students managed to pulverize the competition in the Sterne, Agee & Leach Student Investment Fund Challenge. Terry had the only university team to show a positive return at the end of the contest period. More »

Four administrative hires announced
Dean Robert Sumichrast announced the appointments of four new administrators at Terry. Mark Dawkins is already on the job as associate dean. Charlotte Mason of UNC-Chapel Hill will become head of the Marketing Department. Chris Cornwell is the new head of the Economics Department. And alumnus Randy Groomes returns to Terry as director of diversity relations and recruitment. More »

Obituary for Col. Warren Thrasher
Warren A. Thrasher, a professor emeritus who served on the management faculty from 1967 until his retirement in 1984, died June 8 at his home in Athens. He was 94. A highly decorated Army officer, Thrasher will be buried Sept. 5 with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery. More »
